Lost Wolves of Yellowstone reveals the human story behind the 1995 reintroduction of wolves to the park. Using footage lost for decades, the film follows U.S. Fish and Wildlife Director Mollie Beattie as she led the effort amid fierce public debate. Her story is interwoven with that of Wolf Number 5, an alpha female whose fight for survival helped her pack become the longest-established lineage in Yellowstone. It happened here—a defining chapter in our shared local history.
